Abstract

1,236,508. Terminals for dynamo-electric machines; electric couplings. CONTROLS CO. OF AMERICA. 13 Nov., 1969, No. 55498/69. Headings H2A and H2E. The end leads 20, 22, Fig. 2, of the stator coils of a dynamo-electric machine are connected to terminals 24, 26 mounted in insulated manner in openings formed in the stator core. The terminals may be strip conductors mounted in peripheral openings 28, 30, Fig. 3, in the core and may be connected to external leads, e.g. 66, through sleeve couplings carried by an insulating body 62 mounted in an opening 54 in the end frame 12 of the machine. The end leads are connected to the terminals by e.g. spot welding or soldering. Alternatively the terminals may be of circular cross-section, Fig. 7, and may have bifurcated end portions to receive the end leads, e.g. 106, further conductive bodies, e.g. 108, being slid over the legs, e.g. 102, 104, to contact the end leads.
