Abstract
760,452. Pencil holders; reservoir pens. AMMAFOCO SOC. ANON. Sept. 22, 1954 [Sept. 23, 1953], No. 27452/54. Class 146(3). A writing member, e.g. a ball-point pen 10, is carried in a guide tube 2 urged rearwardly by a spring 7, such that a conical surface 8, on jaws 5 projecting from resilient arms 9 on the tube 2, engages a seat 3 in a barrel 1. In this position, the pen 10 is enclosed by the jaws 5 thereby preventing the entrance of dust. When the pen 10 is advanced into the writing position, by depression of a cap 6, the jaws grip the pen 10 to maintain the pen in this position.
