Abstract

760,375. Spindle apparatus. BARMER MASCHINENFABRIK AKT.-GES. Sept. 24, 1954 [Sept. 26, 1953], No. 27693/54. Class 120 (2). In a yarn twisting spindle in which yarn coming from the spindle core passes over a yarn storage wheel into a storage groove and thence to a yarn balloon, the surface 4 of the wheel is frustoconical with the larger diameter adjacent the storage groove 3 and is provided with slots each of which extends over the whole length of the frusto-conical surface and communicates with the spindle core by means of a slotlike radial yarn guiding channel 6 which widens outwardly. The slots on the frustoconical surface may also widen towards the groove 3 and the surface may be inwardly or outwardly curved slightly and/or partially recessed between the yarn guide channels.
