705,997. Winding machines. MASCHINENFABRIK SCHWEITER AKT.- GES. Sept. 16, 1952 [Oct. 23, 1951], No. 23220/52. Class 120(2) A spindle driver 1 of a winding machine, the driver having a frictional lining, is formed with a coned recess 2 in which the lining is detachably housed, the recess 2 being defined by a shoulder 3 at its outer end, and preferably also by a shoulder 4 at its inner end, the lining 5 being formed of an annular piece of rubber or with a sectorial gap 6, the edges 7, 8 being brought together to form it into a conical shape for insertion within the recess 2. The width b of the lining is equal to the width of the recess. and its thickness is equal to the depth of the recess. Two modifications of the device applied to' bobbin counter-bearings are described.
