760,160. Valve-discharged flushing cisterns. FORDHAM PRESSINGS, Ltd., and PARKER, J. F. May 27, 1954 [June 24, 1953], No. 15629/54. Class 26. A flushing valve fitting for a closet flushing cistern comprises a valve body 3 and a valve member 1 pivotally mounted at 2 on the valve body and having an overflow tube 5 passing through a hole in the member 1 to form a projection on which a valve seating washer 4 is mounted, the washer preferably being sprung into position above a flange on the end of the tube. The float-controlled lever 11 is pivoted at 12 on the body 3, the projection 16 serving to prevent excessive opening of the valve.
