757,543. Centrifugal blowers. ECK, B. Feb. 22, 1954 [July 17, 1953], No. 5174/54. Class 110(1) , In a centrifugal blower of the type in which air or other gas is drawn. inwardly through the rotor over a part of its periphery and conducted a second time through the rotor over another part of the periphery, a gap 1 which decreases in width in the direction of rotation is formed between the rotor 3 and the wall 4 following the outlet. This arrangement obviates the need for packing between the wall and the rotor. The blade angles # 1 and # 2 may be between 20 and 40 degrees and between 60 and 100 degrees respectively. A fixed elliptical body 2 may be provided to improve the action of the gap 1.
