Abstract
757,284. Inductors. MULLARD RADIO VALVE CO., Ltd. Oct. 14, 1954, No. 29627/54. Class 38 (2). A loading coil arrangement comprises three loading coils 1, 2, 3, each consisting of a pot core 121 and two coils 13 enclosed in a cylindrical cover 4, held between two metal plates 5, 6 which are in contact with the plane surfaces' of the covers 4, the spaces between the sheets 5, 6 and about the covers 4 being filled with a mass 15 of unpolymerized synthetic resin which is allowed to polymerise after filling. The sheets 5, 6 are preferably circular and form the major arc, the edges 11 being turned inwards and projections 7, 10 being formed therein to position the loading coils. An aperture 12 is formed for accommodating an assembly bolt to hold the plates 5, 6 together or to secure a number of such assemblies together. Terminals 14 for the lead out wires to the coils have the resin mass 15 cast thereabouts. Set-screws 17 are provided for adjustment of the coils 13.
