756,160. Drawing dies. NAAMLOOZE VENNOOTSCHAP WALLRAMIT HARDMETAAL MAATSCHAPPIJ. Aug. 6, 1953 [Aug. 7, 1952], No. 21804/53. Class 83 (4). In a drawing die comprising slidable jaws 3, 7, Fig. 1, within a frame 1, one of the jaws is backed by a wedge-shaped locking key 15 adapted to be readily drawn back to release the clamping for readjustment. The jaws 3, 7 are slidable for adjustment along filler pieces 6 in engagement with faces 5 on the frame 1 and are in mutual sliding engagement along die faces 4 forming the adjustable die aperture 2. Pins 32 retain the filler pieces 6 in position. The locking key 15 comprises a wedge 17, Fig. 4, at the back of a filler piece 16 and is moved by a screw 21 in the base plate 22 of the die having a collar 20 engageable within a recess 19 in the wedge 17. In operation on release of the jaws by the wedge 17 the jaws are then freely adjust. able by clamping screws 10, 11, Fig. 3, in the lid 14 on the die, which engage and move an insert 8 on the die section 7.
