588,699. Punching; stamping. BESAG, A. March 5, 1945, No. 5422. [Class 83 (iv)] Sub-press mechanism has means for holding the tool head and die bolster in spaced relation during setting up. An abutment 11 with adjustable screw 12 is pivotally mounted on guide post 3 to space the head I and bolster 2 during setting-up. During working, the abutment is swung aside and maintained in inoperative position by a bolt 35. Two hinged abutments may be fitted to the head or the bolster or removable abutments may be used.
