Abstract

897,040. Extruding. HYDRAULIK G.m.b.H. May 2, 1960 [June 26, 1959], No. 15453/60. Class 83 (4). An extrusion press has a die carriage 4 slidable transversely in guides 3 across the press bolster 1 and adapted to receive a die 15 from a vertical magazine 7 holding two dies. The carriage is movable by a rod 5 and has a billet ejection hole 6 and a socket 9, Fig. 1b (not shown), for receiving a die 15 and a backing ring. The two dies 15 are each mounted in a vertical slide 14 movable along the vertical magazine 7 by a driving means 12. A locking device 8 holds up the upper die in the magazine when the lower die is moved into the extrusion position, Fig. 3 (not shown).
