Abstract

755,093. Sliding clasp fasteners. ETABLISSEMENT ATLED. Nov. 26, 1954 [Nov. 27, 1953], No. 34368/64. Class 44. Relates to a slide fastener link which comprises two parallel grooves on opposite sides and has arranged on its longitudinal axis, a ball portion 2 at one end and a spherical recess 3 complementary to the ball portion at the other end. According to the invention, the link is provided with a front bulge 5 and a rear bulge 4 which extend from one end of the link to the other and have main axes and or generatrices extending at right angles to the longitudinal axis and parallel to a plane which extends through the longitudinal axis and bisects the grooves. As shown, a link, of material which can be injection- and-compression moulded is formed with parts 4 and 5 disposed on opposite sides of a midportion 1 to define grooves 9 and 10 which embrace associated beads 7 of stringer tapes 6. A recess 15 is provided for the attachment of an ornament or the like. The fastener is operated by a slider which is guided on both sides of the taper 6 in a groove 17 formed by parallel spaced beads 7 and 18. The parts 4 and 5 may be of other than the semi-cylindrical shape shown.
