Abstract

909,150. Strap fastenings. GUENTHER, A., DOERRE, H., and THIEME, E. Oct. 1, 1960, No. 33758/60. Class 44. A strap fastener comprises two identically shaped fastener parts 1, 2 each part being provided with an undercut groove 3 arranged at right angles to the direction of pull of the strap, the end portion of each part which lies adjacent the other part being formed as a tongue 4 of the same cross-section as the grooves, the tongue of each fastener part being adapted to be slid into the groove formed in the other fastener part, each of the tongues being provided with a recess 6 which engages a projection 7 provided in each of the grooves when the two fastener parts are slid into engaging position. The grooves are open at both ends and each end is enlarged to provide a lead in. Each part is provided with a cross piece 8 around which a strap is secured, the cross piece having projections 10. Reinforcements 9 at each side of the cross pieces prevent lateral movement of the strap.
