656,365. Racket presses. DURET, M. G. Jan. 7, 1949, No. 534. Convention date, Feb. 5, 1948. [Class 132 (ii)] A racket press comprises two metal half-presses 4, 5 having formed on their outer edges pairs of tapering cam-shaped members 6, each pair being urged together by sliding a slider 8 along the pair to clamp the racket 2 in the press. The members 6 are formed for this purpose with tapering outer edges and stops 12 are provided to retain the sliders on the half-presses 4, 5. The members 6 are formed with grooves on their outer edges which are engaged by flanges on the sliders. The half-presses 4, 5 are urged apart by springs in adjacent sockets 14 in the parts 4, 5. They are also maintained in alignment by a plug on the part 5 entering a hole 16 in the part 4. Specification 616,912 is referred to.
