Abstract

754,620. Photographic objectives. PAILLARD SOC. ANON. Aug. 31, 1954 [Nov. 4, 1953], No. 25216/54. Class 97 (1). An objective consists of two achromatic doublets each formed of two air-spaced elements and arranged so that the radius of the second surface of the first element in the front doublet and of the first surface of the second element thereof are each of absolute value at least 1-3 times that of the radius of the first surface of the said first element which is greater than 80 per cent of the focal length of the objective, and the radius of the second surface of the first element of the rear doublet is greater than that of the first surface thereof, the thickness of this element being between 10 and 25 per cent of the focal length of the objective. Numerical data are given for two examples of the objective shown.
