752,645. Casting-processes. THYSSENHUTTE AKT.-GES., A., and DORTMUNDHORDER HUTTENUNION AKT.-GES. Nov. 18, 1954 [Nov. 20, 1953], No. 33464/54. Addition to 725,829. Drawings to Specification. Class 83 (1). The process according to the parent Specification, which is referred to, is carried put with vertically-disposed chill moulds. Casting may be effected by pouring directly into the mould, or through a pouring funnel which maintains a head of molten metal above the mould, and a mould or group of moulds may be poured while the solidified castings are removed from a previously poured mould or group of moulds. Long moulds may be divided for extraction of the castings, but short moulds may be undivided and the castings removed through the bottom thereof after removal of the piston. When pouring is finished, a cover may be placed over the mould to allow the metal to solidify under pressure.
