Abstract
751,705. Valve gear. EATON MANUFACTURING CO. Oct. 28, 1954 [Nov. 12, 1953], No. 31130/54. Class 7(6) In a hydraulic tappet, having a non- return valve 20 closing the inlet leading to the pressure space between a plunger 14 and cylinder 11, a spring 24 loading the valve 20 is integral with and formed out of one wall of the valve cage 22. The cage 22 is formed as a hollow sheet metal cylinder. surrounding the reduced end 15 of the plunger 14 and the spring 24 is formed as a spiral plate spring cut out of the end wall 23 of the valve cage, the downward movement of the valve 20 being limited by lugs 23a on the end wall 23. The plunger 14 is formed with a hydraulic fluid reservoir 16.
