Class 146(1) A suspended folder for documents has at least one of the sides of the folder provided with a supporting element associated only with that side of the folder and which is connected to that side of the folder and' adapted to be supported on the bottom of a filing equipment receiving the folders. As shown in Figs. 1 and 2, the folder with sides 1 and 2 has stiff edges turned back at 3 and 4, either the material of the folder being itself stiff, or a stiffening rod inserted in the folds 3, 4. A frame 5 of metal wire is engaged in the fold 3 and the lower edge 7 of the frame rests on the bottom of a drawer, shelf or like filing device 10. The height of the frame 5 is arranged so that when empty, the fold 6 of the folder just rests on the bottom, but will be lifted clear thereof when filled with documents. As shown, one side 1 only is provided with a frame 5 and the folders are connected together by pressstud elements 8, the end folders resting against the ends 11, 12 of the drawer or the like. Alternatively, the side 2 may also be provided with a frame 5 and the folders separately disposed in the drawer, The frame 5 may have its top edge complete, the fold 3 being passed round the wire and then secured, or may be in two parts which are sprung into the fold. In a modification, a plate in place of frame 5 has a window extending just under the top edge and the fold 3 is passed therethrough and over the top edge before being secured. As shown in Fig. 6, plates 17 replace the frames 5 and are engaged under the outwardly turned folds 3 and 4:
