Abstract

1457109 Suspension bars WILSON JONES CO 13 Nov 1973 [4 Sept 1973] 52679/73 Heading B6E A suspension filing system comprises a storage housing, a suspension bar including parallel, flexible, elongated frame elements spaced so that a flanged file binder may be supported therebetween, and a pair of support means in the housing spaced so as to receive support end portions of the suspension bar when its elements are flexed and to retain the end portions thereof when its elements are in non- flexed condition. The housing may be a stacked storage unit 1, Fig. 3, having suspension bar supports 4, 5 from which the suspension bar 6 depends, the bar having upright portions, extending upwardly from the parallel elongated elements 11, with lips 8, 9 which engage in the supports 4, 5. The file binder 17, has flanges 19 which engage on the elements 11. Alternatively, the housing may be a drawer, Fig. 5, with side pieces 31 on which U-shaped clips 26 of the suspension bar are supported. In a further embodiment, Fig. 7 (not shown), the bars are supported on projections (36) and a centre brace (33) of a storage cabinet.
