Suspension bars 2 adapted to be inserted in pockets 8, 9 at the upper edges of a V-shaped folder, are cranked so that each upper edge of the folder may be supported on portions 3, 4 of the suspension bar at a distance x above the support rails 12, 13 in a drawer or cabinet, or the suspension bar rotated through 180 degrees (as shown in chain lines) and the upper edge of the folder supported on portions 5, 6, 7 of the suspension bar which are substantially level with the support rails. Each folder is carried by two suspension bars 2, independently adjustable in this way, so that the capacity of the folder may be adjusted to any one of three values, by varying the width of the spine of the folder by a distance x on rotation of one of the suspension bars, Fig. 2 (not shown). The suspension bars are bent at both ends to form cross-bars 15, 16, to prevent accidental disengagement thereof from the support rails. Alternatively, separate cross-bars are soldered to the ends of the suspension bars. The upper edges of adjacent folders may be connected by U-shaped spring clips. The clips may be of corrugated cross-section. The suspension bars may be made of sheet metal or a plastics material in sheet or strip form.
