Abstract

750,244. Contact rectifier arrangements. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES, Ltd. Aug. 13, 1954 [Aug. 17, 1953], No. 22654/53. Class 37. An assembly of dry contact rectifiers comprises a panel or frame having two sets of conductors perpendicular to each other and each consisting of a number of parallel spaced conductors, and each rectifier being mounted in the rectangular area bounded by the conductors, and in electrical contact with one of each set. Fig. 4 shows two panels 31, 32, bearing sets of insulated wires 36, 37 and having aligned pairs of holes 40, 41 which house the rectifier elements which are connected to the appropriate horizontal and vertical wires. The panels are spaced apart by washer 33. Fig. 3 shows an alternative arrangement in which the conductors consists of flat metal strips, and Fig. 5 shows a further alternative in which the two sets of conductors consist of wires strung across a frame, the rectifiers 30 being supported by their terminal wires.
