1,195,343. Treating with electric fields. C. G. VON BERCKHEIM. 22 Feb., 1968 [27 Feb., 1967], No. 8563/68. Heading A5R. [Also in Division B2] Ceiling electrodes for increasing the field strength in rooms consist of panel-like electrode members which are electrically connected to one another and so disposed as to maintain free mutual spacing between the members on all sides, each member being mounted separately in a detachable manner on a holder mounted on the ceiling. The holder is in the form of an electrical insulator 6 and the electrode is mounted by means of a ball and socket joint 8 which is expandible by means of a screw 18. The electrode consists of a panel 7 of thin material such as cardboard which is impregnated with an electrical conducting material.
