Abstract

749,985. Pallets for handling loads. BROWN, T., and MASON, E., [trading as BROMAS MANUFACTURING CO.]. Nov. 23, 1954, No. 33834/54. Class 78 (4). A pallet comprises three spaced parallel laminated bearers A, Fig. 3, to which are bolted wooden cross-staves b, c forming upper and lower spaced platforms. The lower staves c may be widely spaced as in Fig. 3 to provide four-way entry or narrowly spaced to provide a two-way entry reversible pallet. The staves and bearers are preferably of hardwood. Two bolts D may be provided at the corners of the pallet. The heads and nuts of the bolts may engage metal washers F, as shown in Fig. 2. Suitable dimensions and suitable timber for the pallet are given in the Specification.
