Abstract

749,630. Burners. SKOUSGAARD, E. C. April 27, 1953 [May 12, 1952], No. 11505/53. Class 75(3). [Also in Group XXVIII] A disposable container for liquefied gases e.g. butane feeding the burner of a, hand torch coin - prises upper and lower portions lu, 1l, Fig. 1, welded at a point 2, 3 and has a combined discharge and vaporizing, means. The container. is normally closed by a resilient disc 12, Fig. 3, held by internal pressure against an annular seat 12 of an outlet port 8 and unseated by a hollow pin 21 carried by a screwed union 17. When a sealing ring 19 carried by the latter abuts a fitting 5. The liquid then passes round the edge of the disc 12 and up an annular bore 23 ,Fig. 4, formed by a rod 24 in the pin 21 where it becomes vaporized before traversing a duct 27 controlled by a needle valve 28 and leading to an outlet tube 16.
