Abstract

749,599. Typewriters. BRACE, E. C. May 14, 1954 [May 27, 1953], No. 14820/53. Class 100 (4). Type-actions.-The type-action comprises a key lever 11, a type lever 16 and an interconnecting link 25 formed at each end with a head 26 which seats in recesses 24, 23 provided respectively in the key and type-levers. The recesses are more than semi-circular, so that the links are retained therein. Axial displacement of the links is prevented by the sides of the grooves 22, 20 of a segment 13 in which the levers 11, 16 operate. In a modification, the links 25 are S-shaped and are in tension during operation.
