Abstract

746,433. Ventilating. AKTIEBOLAGET B. A. HJORTH & CO. April 8, 1954 [April 9, 1953], No. 10358/54. Class 137. A ventilating arrangement for a shelter 1 comprises evacuation and fresh air ducts 2 and 5 respectively which communicate with the shelter and are interconnected by cross conduits 9, 10, flap valves 11, 12 at the junctions nearest the chamber 1 being provided for periodically changing over connection with two stone filled protective chambers 4, 6, so that heat exchange between the fresh incoming and the evacuation air can take place in the chambers 4, 6. A by pass 14, controlled by a valve 15, is provided between the conduits 2, 5 for re-introducing the desired amount of evacuated air into the shelter. Fans 7, 8 are incorporated in the conduits 2, 5 respectively, a heater 13 being accommodated in the conduit 5.
