Abstract

PURPOSE:To ventilate and cool a building effectively by use of open-air flow, by arranging an exhaust and a suction control boxes respectively in an upper and a lower sections in a space in the ceiling, communicating these control boxes to ventilating ports formed in the eaves of the building, and communicating the space in the ceiling to a space under the floor via hollow spaces formed in the wall. CONSTITUTION:An exhaust and a suction control boxes 2, 1 are disposed respectively at an upper and a lower portions in a space 19 in the ceiling, and these two boxes 2, 1 are communicated to ventilating ports (7, 10), (8, 9) formed in the eaves respectively via ducts (3, 4), (5, 6). The control box 1 includes check valves 22, 23 which allow air to flow only toward the box 1 and a ventilating port 14 with a damper 11 at its lower portion. On the other hand, the control box 2 includes check valves which allow air to flow only in the reverse direction. Further, hollow spaces 24 are formed in the wall for communicating the space 19 in the ceiling and a space 25 under the floor to each other. With such an arrangement, a building can be ventilated and cooled at the same time, for instance, in summer by producing air flow in the direction shown by arrows in the drawing by use of the open-air flow.
