Abstract
PURPOSE:To make it possible to ventilate a building automatically by making use of wind energy by a method wherein vent ports each attached with a strong wind preventive valve are provided in the titled ventilating box so that when a wind above a predetermined quantity blows into the vent ports, the ventilating operation of the ventilating box is stopped. CONSTITUTION:The suction and discharge type ventilating box 1 which is divided into two sections at the middle is attached to the wall of the building. The ventilating box 1 is provided with the vent ports 5 and 6 attached with the strong wind preventive valves, respectively, and additional strong wind preventive valves 11 and 12 are provided between vent ports 17 and 18 and between vent ports 15 and 16, respectively, so that when a wind above a predetermined quantity blows, the ventilating operation for the building is stopped. With the above structure, when a wind blows in the direction from the vent port 5 to the vent port 6, the pressure of the wind is applied upon the windwrd vent port 5 attached with the strong wind preventive valve and the open air enters the building through a vent port 3, a duct 9 and a heat insulating duct 7. On the other hand, a negative pressure generates on the side of the leeward vent port 6 provided with the strong wind preventive valve and the open air introduced into the building is discharged outside the building from the vent port 6 through a heat exchange duct 8, a duct 10 and a vent port 4.
