Abstract

PURPOSE: To perform air-conditioning utilizing constant temperature of underground by a cellar as a heat accumulator.
CONSTITUTION: A cellar 2 is made of double walls which constitute an air passage 3, and a dumper 4 is provided at the boundary between the wall and outside air. An air pipe 5 at the center of the house is connected to the inside end of the air passage 3 and the top of the air pipe 5 opens to an air pool 6 inside a roof constituting an air passage 17 between rooms 13, 19 and the external wall. Ventilators 14, 18 are provided at the ceiling of the rooms 13, 19 and exhaust port 15, 20 are provided on a side walls. The double construction of the roof 8 forms a heated air passage 9 and dumpers 10, 12 close and open a connecting passage of the air pool 6 and the air passage 17. Figure shows the air movement in summer time. Heat is stored between walls of the cellar.
