Abstract
PURPOSE: To conduct the ventilation using natural energy without use of power by a method two closed-top and U-shaped type air passage layers are provided in double-layer structure, and upper and lower opening portions are provided on the outer side of the upper portion of the air passage layers.
CONSTITUTION: Two U-shaped air passage layers coupled in double-layer structure are so fitted as to extend from the interior to the exterior of a room along the upper structural body at an opening of a building. When room temperature is lower than the atmospheric temperature, the temperature inside an outer air passage layer S1 rises to cause an upward airflow, and air is discharged from a lower exterior-side opening A2. Therefore, a negative pressure prevails in the lower portion of the layer S1, the negative pressure is transmitted to air passage layers S5, S2, and air is sucked in the direction of an arrow, so that warm air in the upper portion of the room is sucked from a lower interior-side opening A4 and discharged from the opening A2. In this case, heat exchange is effected through a partition surface 3 to minimize heat loss. Where room temperature is higher than the atmospheric temperature as at night or in winter, an air discharge pipe is changed over to one for suction, and air flows from an upper interior-side opening A3 to an upper exterior-side opening A1 to discharge room air.
