Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to ventilate the roof space quickly by making use of a wind blowing outside a house by a method wherein an exhaust air control box and a sucked air control box are provided in the upper and the lower portions, respectively of the roof space in the house and each of the control boxes is made to communicate with eave vent ports through ducts. CONSTITUTION:The exhaust and sucked air control boxes 2 and 1 are provided in the upper and the lower portions, respectively, of the roof space 19 in such a manner that the boxes 2 and 1 communicate with the eave vent ports 7, 10 and 8,9 through the ducts 3,4 and 5,6, respectively. Further, the control box 1 is provided with check valves 22 and 23 for allowing only air flowing from the ducts 5 and 6 toward the box to pass therethrough and the control box 2 is provided with check valves opening in the direction reverse to the opening direction of the check valves 22 and 23. Consequently, the open air flowing in the direction of the arrow in summer can be introduced into the roof space 19 from the control box 1 while hot air in the space 19 can be sucked from the control box 2 and discharged from the eave vent ports 10 to thereby ventilate the roof space 19.
