Abstract

744,039. Rolling. KRUSE, H., and FETTE, C., [trading as FETTE PRAZISIONWERK. ZEUG-FABRIK, W.]. Feb. 19, 1952, No. 28779/54. Divided out of 743,977. Class 83 (4). In a set of freely rotatable rolls for forming threads, helical grooves, &c. in which the rolls are relatively offset to follow the same helical path, the rolls have relieved entry profiles a, b, c, Fig. 1, arranged so that when projected on to a common plane the profile ridges a<SP>1</SP>, bl, c<SP>1</SP> are in a straight line d. The bases of the profile are not relieved and lie on the straight line g passing through the bases of the main profiles. Each roll is in the form of an annulus W, Fig. 2, freely rotatable on an eccentric part E of a rotatably adjustable spindle A. Each end of the roll is relieved so that the rolls may be reversed when worn at one end.
