743,535. Colostomy receivers. GAILLARD, S. May 6, 1954 [March 17, 1953], No. 7417/53. Addition to 712,341. Class 81(2). A connecting piece for use with the colostomy receiver described in the parent Specification comprises a synthetic resin attachment member 5 having a flange 7 and a neck 6 provided with a thread or similar attaching means, whereby a locking member 8 may clamp the material 1 of the bag. Hooks 10 may be provided on the outer flange to secure it to a belt or the face of the flange may be coated with adhesive. An improved means for closing the ends of the bag is also described in the form of an aluminium clip which grips the material of the bag and is then folded over on itself. It is also proposed to enclose the waterproof bag in an outer cloth cover.
