743,518. Eggs, cleaning. BARRONIA METALS, (GREAT BRITAIN), Ltd., BULLEN, F. J., and WILLIAMS, C. H. Nov. 17, 1954 [Nov. 18, 1953], No. 31970/53. Class 28(2). Eggs are cleaned by presenting them to a rotated cup-shaped brush 13 supplied with water and then to a similar dry wiping brush. The brushes are mounted in pairs on horizontal rotated shafts in a machine, one shaft 11 being hollow to accommodate a water pipe 24 supplied from a top tank 27 through a control valve 26. The machine casing contains an electric motor 16 which may be replaced by a treadle. Removable flanged rings 15 in the casing in front of each brush provides finger rests when presenting an egg to the brushes.
