Abstract

285,489. Carlstedt, S. M. Feb. 19, 1927, [Convention date]. Floors, cleaning.-An electric motor driving one or more brushes through friction gearing imparts movement at two separate points of contact. In the construction shown, the motor in a casing 9 is provided at each end of the shaft with trundles 2 for engagement with a friction ring 3, which is secured to a shaft 4 carrying a brush 6. By means of springs 15, 16 the trundles are held resiliently against the ring 3. The motor is pivotally mounted in bearings by means of pins which are permitted limited vertical play.
