Class 122(1) [Also in Group XXVIII] An inflator for tyres comprises a piston 12 having an annular recess 15 and a sealing member 16 mounted for limited axial movement therein and arranged to seal with the piston 12 and barrel 10 on the downward pressure stroke and to open communication between both sides of the piston on the upstroke. The lower shoulder of the recess may be slotted as at 18 or comprise a ported plate secured together with a cup. shaped upper member to the piston rod by a screw.
