Abstract

741,765. Screw clamps. ACROW (ENGINEERS), Ltd. Sept. 18, 1953, No. 25881/53. Class 44. [Also in Group X] Clamps for securing flanged shuttering panels 14 for casting concrete walls to a channel section soldier 12 and engaging registering slots in the flanges 13, 15 of these parts, pass through both flanges of the soldier and provide horizontal runways for the reception of waling tubes 16. The clamp 40, Fig. 2, comprises a bridge member bridging the waling member 16 which is engaged by the clamp screw 46, the clamp having a pair of legs 44 on each side of the waling member all the legs having toes 48 similarly directed and adapted to engage the slots in the panel and soldier flanges. The clamp may have two diagonally opposite legs only. A further modified clamp, Fig. 7, comprises two legs 74 with oppositely directed toes 77, 78 adapted to be engaged with the slot from inside the channel of the soldier. In this clamp two diagonal toes may be dispensed with. A clamp Fig. 5 is used to clamp walings to adjacent vertical flanges of two shuttering panels. Specification 741,764 is referred to.
