[Also in Group XXX] Automobiles or goods are stored on platform trucks circulated over tracks b, c joined at their ends by trough-form guideways d, e along which the wheels of the trucks may be slid. The wheels 11, Fig. 4, of the trucks may have flanges on one or both sides which, adjacent the transverse troughs 6, engage with ramps 7a by which the wheels are raised into register with the troughs. Both the ramps and the rails 7 may be indented in conformity with the troughs 6 at their intersection. The sets of ramps at opposite ends of the tracks are of different lengths to ensure that different portions of the wheels are engaged by the troughs after each circulation of a truck. The troughs may form oil sumps.
