741,167. Flues for heating &c. apparatus. RADIATION, Ltd. June 1, 1954 [June 10, 1953],No. 15956/53. Class 25. [Also in Group XI] A flue arrangement for conveying combustion products from a heating or cooking apparatus a to atmosphere comprises an openbottomed part h leading upwardly to the outside atmosphere and a part f which receives the products from the heater &c. a and is bent over at its upper end g to deliver them in a downward direction to the lower end of the part h. As shown in Fig. 1 the apparatus a is a water heater enclosed in a casing d which is shaped at k to form a deflector for any downdraught through the part h. In the modification shown in Fig. 3, the part h is formed in two parts h, h<SP>1</SP> joined by a bend k and both open at the lower end, the flue f having a bent-over upper end g to deliver the gases downwardly into the part h<SP>1</SP>.
