Abstract
741,156. Centerings for ceilings, floors and arches. HUNNEBECK, E. M. April 16, 1953 [Sept. 23, 1952], No. 10454/53. Class 20(2). A support for roof and ceiling centering comprises telescoping girders 1, 2, Fig. 2, a girder 2 being supported in a girder 1 on a screw 7, Fig. 11 arranged at a distance from the end of the girder 1 which is approximately double the height of the girder 1. The girders are slightly cambered and when assembled the camber is adjusted by the screw 7 and an adjustable slotted plate at 18 on a screw, on the ends of the girders 2. The girder 1 comprises a U-section upper boom 10 the edges of which are flanged outwardly and welded to lattice work 1a, the lower booms 11 of which are connected together by plates 12 carrying the screws 7. The girder 2 comprises flanged U-section frames 15 arranged back to back between which is welded a web 16 or it may have a triangular section upper boom 29, Fig. 31 and a T-section lower boom formed by two angles 28. In an arched centering, Fig. 9, the ends of two girders 1 are supported on an inner girder 2 by a wedge 6.
