Abstract

974,086. Lattice girders for supporting ceiling shuttering. URANUS TRUST. Oct. 27, 1961 [Oct. 29, 1960], No. 38600/61. Headings E1K and E1S. A telescopic girder for supporting ceiling shuttering comprises one part, as shown, the outer part, as a lattice girder which has a tension bar 34 connecting the ends of its chords 1, 2 in which is a turnbuckle 4 for adjusting the camber of this part, and which is at the end of the outer part which overlaps the inner part. The outer part consists of a channel upper chord 1, Fig. 5, connected by zig-zag lattice 31, 32 to a lower chord consisting of two rods 21, 22 which are connected by bars 91. The inner part consists of an upper chord 5 of triangular section tube connected by zig-zag lattice 7 to a lower chord consisting of two angle irons 71, 72. The parts of the girder are locked together by a wedge engaging between a bar 91 and the bottom of the inner part. A screw locking means is described, Fig. 8 (not shown). Two outer parts are shown associated with one inner part, Fig. 4 (not shown).
