Abstract

739,317. Sprinkler closures for containers. METAL BOX CO., Ltd. Sept. 16, 1954 [Nov. 10, 1953], No. 31178/53. Class 125 (3). A container for dispensing powder &c. comprises a tubular body 1 of cardboard &c. provided with a metal bottom closure. A bead 3 is provided near the mouth which supports a sprinkler disc 5 forced into the,mouth, and also forms a groove 4 around the exterior. A cap 7 of metal has a skirt 9 having a curl 10 which extends into the groove 4 and by rotation of the cap the apertures 8 in the cap and 6 in the disc may be brought into register, or the apertures 6 may be obturated.
