[Also in Group VIII] A laminated material, made by bonding or vulcanizing two sheets of pliable non-pile non- rubber material to a layer of sponge rubber and splitting the composite sheet longitudinally through the thickness of the sponge rubber to produce two sheets each having a backing layer secured to sponge rubber the exposed surface of which has superficial pores of larger dimensions than the pores within the thickness of the sponge rubber (see Group VIII), is used to form the palmate portion of a glove. The laminated material may form the entire palmate portion, or may be cemented, stitched or otherwise secured to the palmate portion of a glove. The pliable non pile material may be cloth, fabric or leather
