Abstract

736,940. Railway signaling track apparatus. SIEMENS & HALSKE AKT.-GES. Oct. 27, 1953, No. 29712/53. Class 105. In a railway traffic control system, to avoid faulty operation, e.g. of axlecounting apparatus due to stray influence on the receiver by iron or magnetic parts on the train, the impulses generated in two receivers 2, 5, Fig. 1, as by the wheel 4 of a train are applied to control directly or indirectly two series connected contacts 21, 51, Fig. 2, in the controlling circuit of a relay 7 so that only when the two contacts 51, 21 are closed concurrently can the relay 7 be operated. If the direction of travel is to be indicated and the receivers 2, 5 are consequently staggered in relation to each other, the operation of one of the contacts, say, 51, controlled by the first influenced receiver 5 is either retarded or an auxiliary relay operated by the impulse from receiver 5 and which operates the contact 51 is self-holding until the influence has passed the other receiver 2 to operate the contact 21. The receivers 2, 5 may be disposed on the inner sides of the rails and may be reversed as regards their polarities.
