Abstract

736,484. Air compressors. SPECIALTIES DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION. Nov. 20, 1953, No. 32283/53. Class 8 (1). A compressor system comprises a compressor 10 the outlet from which is connected to a vent valve 21, which is arranged to be closed by oil pressure developed by a pump 51 driven from the crankshaft 39, and to a liquid separator 12 which includes a drainage outlet 16 controlled by a valve 17 subjected to the pressure of the compressor outlet, and an inlet valve 28 leading to a separating chamber 13 having an outlet connected through a non-return valve 31 to a reservoir 29. Thermostatically controlled heaters are provided in the separator 12 to prevent freezing of the moisture. Specification 688,739 is referred to.
