735,733. Cooling buildings. AKTIEBOLAGET SVENSKA FLAKTFABRIKEN. Feb. 17, 1953 [Feb. 22, 1952], No. 4436/53. Class 64 (2). A room 14 is cooled by moistening a gas such as atmospheric air in a spray-cooling chamber 27 and passing it through channels 15 in the floor, ceiling and in one or more of the walls and thereafter to atmosphere, e.g. extracting it by a fan 9. The channels may be a space formed between an inner wall 1 and an outer wall 3. Air is humidified in the chamber 27 by sprays 19 to which water is supplied from a tank 25 by a pump 23. From an inlet grille 21 the air passes up over vertical plates 20 and through a filter 18 to be driven by a fan 17 into the channels. Ducts 4, 11 permit the ventilation of the room. Regulating means sensitive to heat and moisture may be used to shut off the moistening device at night so that unmoistened air is passed to the channels.
