734,640. Rafts. DAVIDSON, H. M. July 9, 1953 [July 19, 1952], No. 19027/53. Drawings to Specification. Class 113 (1). [Also in Group XXI] In a buoyancy apparatus such as a float or life-raft comprising a closed container having a reinforcing wrapping around the container, the wrapping is saturated with a waterproof resin and a plastic made up of minute individually sealed cells fills the container. The container is formed of waterproof plywood and the wrapping of glass fibre cloth impregnated with a polyester resin. The plastic is an expanded thermoplastic polystyrene. A relatively large hole, spaced from the sides of the container, extends therethrough from top to bottom.
