The switch comprises terminals f, g secured to a rectangular insulating base c and respectively carrying a fixed contact h and a contactcarrying bimetal or other thermally-deformable blade i, the base c being slid in and gripped by grooves b in the edges of a trough-shaped metal base a. The bases a, c are secured against accidental relative movement by indentations e on base a which co-operate with notches in base c.
