[Also in Group XXXVIII] The invention relates to the correction of drift in closed loop servo systems using magnetic amplifiers. According to the invention the error signal is modulated at a frequency low compared with that of the power supply to the main magnetic amplifier (e.g. 10 c/s. with a 400 c/s. supply), and the L.F. modulated signal is fed to an auxiliary magnetic amplifier and then demodulated to produce a correction signal which is comparatively large for very low frequency components, i.e. drift. This correction signal is applied together with the error signal to the input (or inputs) of the main magnetic amplifier.
