Abstract
A cleavable-coating composition comprises a mixture of from 70 to 90 per cent, preferably 80 per cent, of a polymerized vinyl-substituted aromatic hydrocarbon or halohydrocarbon, e.g. styrene, mono- or polychlorostyrenes, mono- or poly-alkylstyrenes, and a -methylstyrene, and from 10 to 30 per cent, preferably 20 per cent, of a copolymer of a vinyl substituted aromatic hydrocarbon or halohydrocarbon and a conjugated diene or cyclodiene, e.g. butadiene, isoprene, dimethyl butadiene, chloroprene and cyclopentadiene, e.g. a butadiene-styrene copolymer containing 2 to 80 per cent of butadiene. A minor amount of a pigment, e.g. titanium dioxide may also be included.
