Abstract
730,069. Gas turbine plant. ZBOROWSKI, H.P.G.A.R. VON. Feb. 18, 1953 [Feb. 19, 1952], No. 4498/53. Class 110 (3). [Also in Group XXXIII] A gas turbine plant includes a compressor 12 and turbine 11 the shaft of which drives contrarotating propellers 10, 10a enclosed within an annular wing 1. The turbine may be cooled as described in Specification 711,985. The turbine exhaust issues from slots 21 in propeller 10, and fuel is injected from orifices 22 in propeller 10a, being ignited by pilot devices 23, to form an afterburner within the casing of wing 1, as described in Specification 713,863. Flaps 29 may open passages 28 in the wing and surfaces 24 may be operated to deflect the jet stream.
